每次聽James的這首歌心裡都會為之一震。即使我極力避免自己陷入陰鬱，偶爾心裡還是會出現黑暗的角落就是照不到陽光。"Lose Control"的歌詞近乎絕望，但規律的鼓擊、喇叭和吉他的相互呼應實不像欲棄世時譜出的曲調，反而像在嘲弄自己的無助和對愛的渴望，這樣矛盾的呈現方式是我失去力量時的營養針。記得某一次聆聽這首歌的時候正好對生活感到害怕，Tim Booth唱出的每個字都道中我的心思，已經一陣子沒有那麼消沈了，然而我不介意憶起那時刻。

音樂是時光機，可以自發性地選擇要回到哪段生命經歷。

Elbow的主唱Guy Garvey在BBC的6 Music有個節目，我經常收聽，以下是這週他在節目一開始的引言，特此分享：

I've always been amazed at music's ability to remind me of the time gone, a place, or a feeling. Sometimes it's so strong. If, for instance, there's a great piece of music that I've totally forgot about, then it's as if I'm remembering how it felt generally to be me at a given point of time. It's not just a specific event, or a place, or a person, but all the background, home, and the general color wash of life at a given time.
