Depeche Mode--Black Celebration

"Black Celebration"是Depeche Mode第一章邁入成熟階段的專輯；開場曲，與專輯同名的"Black Celebration"一直是歌迷公認的經典之一，雖然它不是主打歌。

這首歌也在我的DM Top 10之一。只有DM的歌才能有這麼細膩的編曲，繁複卻不冰冷。聽這首歌總是給我一種悲喜交集(bittersweet)的感受。

最近的心情很複雜，太多的事情在我心中糾結在一起，有些事又無法言喻。
To put it simply, let's have a black celebration tonight.

其實這首歌的現場版比錄音室裡的更棒。

Cleopatra

昨天在電視上看到影集版的Cleopatra，一連串大概三小時左右。
不過真正開始看的時候，Cleopatra正好生了她和Julius Caesar的兒子（Caesarian），不知道已經開始演多久了。

雖然影集把情節亂改，Julius Caesar死後，只有Octavian Caesar和Marc Antony共治天下而已（Where is Lepidus?），不過Cleopatra比在莎士比亞課堂上看的版本賞心悅目很多唷，是個黑美人。影集裡也比較看得出她身為統治者的勇敢，以埃及利益為優先的決心。讀莎劇時，覺得莎翁只把她描寫成一個lovesick woman，較難看出她堅強的一面。

原來她和Antony在一起，也是有政治考量的。影集裡她引誘Antony上鉤，讓他臣服於她的石榴裙下後能夠確保埃及的安全，後來她終究是愛上了他。之後的悲劇情節，就和莎劇一樣了。

影集裡的Antony也比菲非上課放的版本裡年輕很多，不算特別好看，但挺迷人、親切的。戲裡Antony被塑造得太過忠誠、善良了，幸好頑皮的那一面還是在的。最後死去的方式，以他一介英雄的身份來看，光榮了不少。

還算可以接受的Cleopatra電影版，現在很想看1936年版的。 ^^

加一下印象深刻的台詞好了：
Antony和Octavia結婚後，又忍不住航行到埃及找Cleopatra，他抵達後，Cleopatra問他來意何在，他說：「我來探望妳，順便送妳一份大禮--我自己！」 @@

Octavian Caesar在發現Cleopatra自盡後，無奈的高喊：「Cleopatra, you won！」

Depeche Mode--It Doesn't Matter

這是年輕的Martin表達自己愛情觀的一首歌，有點理想主義，事後他的拈花惹草也證明這些話或許並不是他真正的想法。 XD

我喜歡Martin歌詞裡的細膩和深刻，Sting的歌"(If You Love Somebody) Set Them Free"說的是差不多的東西，可是聽（讀）起來卻太有傳教意味了。

最喜歡highlight的那幾句。嫉妒真的是種sickness。

Martin這首歌寫的就是聽到別人談論自己的心情，ah, so bitter and sad...
